Who are the doctors who work for Docs Who Care (DWC)?
Our physicians are proven, quality health care providers who want to gain control of their work schedule, have time for family, church involvement, community service and other volunteer activities, both at home and worldwide.
Who are our clients?
We partner with hospitals and health care providers in small, rural hospitals, clinics and emergency departments. Our focus is first and foremost on the small, rural communities where physician recruitment and retention is a challenge.
What is the range of duties I can expect of my physician?
Your provider might provide duties to your hospital that include clinic, ED, in-patient, nursing home, ED, and other community functions such as education, consultation and public relations. Our physicians are fully capable of providing the full scope of quality family practice care.
What does our verification process entail?
Our verification process includes a thorough review and primary source documentation of the physician’s education and training, work history, current standing with specialty boards and state medical boards, and status of medical license and privileges with any medical institutions. We investigate past or pending malpractice cases, review any disciplinary actions, and check with professionals who have worked closely with the physician within the past two years. It’s a thorough process that gives us a comprehensive view of our doctor’s professional history.
What certifications do your physicians have?
Most of our physicians are Board Certified in Family Medicine. We also recommend that our physicians have ACLS, ATLS and PALS. In addition, they are expected to maintain CME hours in specific areas as required by state licensing agencies.
What are our fees?
Our fees are determined by a number of factors—volumes, scope of services, current market rate, etc.
How is the contracting done?
We will provide a contract, based on the scope of services we have agreed to provide. It will explain the terms of our agreement, our recruiting policy and any other necessary contractual obligations.
How do you schedule?
We will personalize the schedule and scope of services to meet your needs. We attempt to schedule 60-90 days in advance.
Can we hire one of your physicians?
Yes! We simply ask for a recruiting fee, which will be spelled out in the contract. There are several hospitals each year who recruit our physicians. It is a win/win situation for the physician and the hospital.
We also have a partner organization—
Priority Physician Placement--who can provide permanent placement services for you.

Do you have a Quality Improvement Program?
Docs Who Care strives to provide the very best physicians to your facility. To do this, we continually seek input from the sites on the quality of care being provided. We have a variety of assessment tools (interpersonal and clinical) to evaluate the quality of our providers.
Do you provide an orientation to your providers?
A Philosophy of Care manual is given to each of our providers. This manual explains the expectations we have for providers working with us. We also supply information to each provider specific to each site they are assigned.
What other types of services do you provide?
In addition to physician staffing, we also provide consulting and chart review services through a partner organization called
Precision Practice Management. View the website.
It’s up to you. Depending on your ability to complete and return our paperwork, we can complete your DWC verification in a matter of weeks. We are then able to begin discussing specific work opportunities with you.
